I like how he referred to Jerry;

"I admired his ability to just say, ‘Fuck it. I’m going to suck down a couple of cheeseburgers and a pizza and a couple of White Russians, and I’m going to be fine about that.’ "

Though I have a hard time picturing 15 yr old Bob playing linebacker in high school. Unless it's a fullback giving him a forearm shiv.

Good article though, have to admire the guy, really has had his act together for pretty much his whole life

I had the same reaction to the linebacker comment; of course, it's just like the one about him roaming the range during summer months, guitar in hand on the range in Wyoming (oh yeah, that's when he was also doing "two a days" like all good high schoolers trying to make the team...wait a minute...).

;)

He looks positively aboriginal in that first photo with the black ball. Under water back flips with a kettlebell? I'm gonna side with Jerry and the cheeseburgers on this one.

I can get behind that...I make up for it by going on a 5 day backpacking trip with nothing but dehydrated sticks and pebbles to eat. I can drop 20 lbs in a week. That's what it's there for. I like hiking with overly fit people, they are starving to death by the third day while I'm just hitting my stride.
